Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Stéphane Chavanis could be acquired at Artcurial in Paris in June 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Le Poids Des Mots changed hands for EUR 1,913.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stéphane Chavanis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Masque A Gaz, which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 7,650.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stéphane Chavanis konnte im Juni 2009 bei Artcurial in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Le Poids Des Mots für EUR 1.913,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Stéphane Chavanis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Masque A Gaz beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für EUR 7.650,00 versteigert wurde.
