In the Twentieth Century British Art auction, the work The Entrance To The Peak Cave, Castleton, Derbyshire sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,755.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stanley Roy Badmin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Four Seasons in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 46,336.12).
