This artwork by Stanley Roy Badmin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2007. In the Twentieth Century British Art auction, the work The Entrance To The Peak Cave, Castleton, Derbyshire sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,755.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stanley Roy Badmin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Four Seasons in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 46,336.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stanley Roy Badmin erzielte im Dezember 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art wurde die Arbeit The Entrance To The Peak Cave, Castleton, Derbyshire für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.755,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stanley Roy Badmin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Four Seasons im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 46.336,12).
