Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kabul by Stanley Donwood was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2009. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 17,783.53). Admittedly, works by Stanley Donwood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Residential Nemesis in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,900.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kabul von Stanley Donwood kam im November 2009 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 17.783,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stanley Donwood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Residential Nemesis im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 162.900,36).
