Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape after Rain by Stanislaus Ivan Rapotec was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of AUD 7,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for AUD 6,462.50 (€ 3,817.73). Admittedly, works by Stanislaus Ivan Rapotec have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Hephaestus) in August 2003 with an auction result of AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,270.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape after Rain von Stanislaus Ivan Rapotec im August 2003 bei Christies in Sydney versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 7.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für AUD 6.462,50 (€ 3.817,73) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stanislaus Ivan Rapotec auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Hephaestus) im August 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 25.850,00 (€ 15.270,94).
