This artwork by Stanislaus Ivan Rapotec achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian untitled Abstract sold for AUD 19,200.00 (€ 11,207.96) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Stanislaus Ivan Rapotec; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Hephaestus) sold at auction in August 2003 with the realized price of AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,270.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Stanislaus Ivan Rapotec erzielte im August 2008 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit Australian untitled Abstract für AUD 19.200,00 (€ 11.207,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Stanislaus Ivan Rapotec; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Hephaestus) im August 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 25.850,00 (€ 15.270,94).
