Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Florist And Fruiterer by Stanhope Alexander Forbes. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,919.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stanhope Alexander Forbes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Quarry Team in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 237,500.00 (€ 266,289.72).

Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Florist And Fruiterer von Stanhope Alexander Forbes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.919,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
