In the A Life in Pictures - The Collection of Lord and Lady Attenborough auction, the work The Orchard, Applehayes, Clayhidon, 1913 sold for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,199.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Spencer Frederick Gore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunset, Letchworth, With Man And Dog in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 149,000.00 (€ 210,088.13).
