Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2009 Christies in London held the auction 20C British Art, which included the work A Garden Square in Camden Town by Spencer Frederick Gore. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,100.00 (€ 18,123.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Spencer Frederick Gore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset, Letchworth, With Man And Dog in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 149,000.00 (€ 210,088.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20C British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Garden Square in Camden Town von Spencer Frederick Gore zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.100,00 (€ 18.123,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Spencer Frederick Gore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset, Letchworth, With Man And Dog im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 149.000,00 (€ 210.088,13).
