The auction ended at the price of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,745.81), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sophie von Hellermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in December last year with an auction result of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 18,491.42).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit New Roses and Accidental Portraits von Sophie von Hellermann wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.745,81) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sophie von Hellermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.380,00 (€ 18.491,42).
