The work Maroon Floor Relief by Sopheap Pich was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 162,500.00 (€ 17,495.59), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sopheap Pich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Memory, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,147.05).

Die Arbeit Maroon Floor Relief von Sopheap Pich wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 17.495,59) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sopheap Pich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Memory beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.147,05) versteigert wurde.
