This artwork by Song Xu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Chinese Works of Art and Paintings auction, the work Treading through Snow on Wufeng，1579 sold for USD 59,595.00 (€ 54,815.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Song Xu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scholar under Locust in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Xu erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Works of Art and Paintings wurde die Arbeit Treading through Snow on Wufeng，1579 für USD 59.595,00 (€ 54.815,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Xu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scholar under Locust im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
