Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Mountain Retreat by Song Xu for HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,208.46). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Song Xu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scholar under Locust in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mountain Retreat von Song Xu für HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.208,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Song Xu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scholar under Locust im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
