Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Song Xu was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 41,825.00 (€ 4,355.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Song Xu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scholar under Locust in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Song Xu wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 41.825,00 (€ 4.355,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Song Xu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scholar under Locust im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
