Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Workers on the dock by Solomon Wilson for USD 750.00 (€ 591.39). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Solomon Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Wreck in September this year with an auction result of USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,023.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Workers on the dock von Solomon Wilson für USD 750,00 (€ 591,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Solomon Wilson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Wreck im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.023,43).
