Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Solomon Wilson could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The Intersection changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 406.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Solomon Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Wreck in September this year with an auction result of USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,023.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Solomon Wilson konnte im Juli 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit The Intersection für USD 500,00 (€ 406,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Solomon Wilson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Wreck im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.023,43).
