Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work From Château Mimosas by William MacTaggart. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,359.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by William MacTaggart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Gauldrons, Machrihanish in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,932.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit From Château Mimosas von William MacTaggart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.359,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William MacTaggart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Gauldrons, Machrihanish im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.932,02).
