In October 2021 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work After the Storm by William MacTaggart. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,567.90), 45% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William MacTaggart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gauldrons, Machrihanish in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,932.02).

Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit After the Storm von William MacTaggart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.567,90) und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William MacTaggart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gauldrons, Machrihanish im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.932,02).
