Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by William MacTaggart achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Humbie, East Lothian; Dirleton, two works sold for GBP 704.00 (€ 808.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William MacTaggart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gauldrons, Machrihanish in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,932.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von William MacTaggart erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Humbie, East Lothian; Dirleton, two works für GBP 704,00 (€ 808,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William MacTaggart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gauldrons, Machrihanish im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.932,02).
