Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2003 Christies in London held the auction THE FORBES COLLECTION OF VICTORIAN PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART, which included the work Homeless and Hungry by Luke Fildes. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,157.50 (€ 14,829.63). Other works by Luke Fildes have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,823.24) in July 2016 for the work Simpletons (The Sweet River).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE FORBES COLLECTION OF VICTORIAN PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Homeless and Hungry von Luke Fildes zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.157,50 (€ 14.829,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Luke Fildes haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.823,24) im Juli 2016 für die Arbeit Simpletons (The Sweet River) beobachtet.
