Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Woodland in Autumn by Robin Darwin. The price achieved of GBP 478.00 (€ 722.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robin Darwin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Queen's Gate Gardens, London, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,605.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woodland in Autumn von Robin Darwin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 478,00 (€ 722,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robin Darwin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Queen's Gate Gardens, London beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.605,17) versteigert wurde.
