Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Lady by Robin Darwin for GBP 293.75 (€ 416.06). This price was achieved in the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robin Darwin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Queen's Gate Gardens, London, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,605.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady von Robin Darwin für GBP 293,75 (€ 416,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robin Darwin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Queen's Gate Gardens, London beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.605,17) versteigert wurde.
