Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Range 60 yards - S.G.Bs. against Trawlers off Cap d'Antifer, 27th September 1943 by Peter Markham Scott. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,520.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Markham Scott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mallard and Teal in Flight in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 25,062.00 (€ 27,821.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Range 60 yards - S.G.Bs. against Trawlers off Cap d'Antifer, 27th September 1943 von Peter Markham Scott zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.520,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Markham Scott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mallard and Teal in Flight im Mai 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.062,00 (€ 27.821,58).
