Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mallards over a marsh by Peter Markham Scott was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. The price achieved of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,710.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Markham Scott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mallard and Teal in Flight in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 25,062.00 (€ 27,821.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mallards over a marsh von Peter Markham Scott kam im November 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.710,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Markham Scott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mallard and Teal in Flight im Mai 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.062,00 (€ 27.821,58).
