Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Gaggle Of Geese by Peter Markham Scott was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 8,020.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Markham Scott - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mallard and Teal in Flight, which sold at auction in May 2020 for GBP 25,062.00 (€ 27,821.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Gaggle Of Geese von Peter Markham Scott kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 8.020,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Markham Scott mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mallard and Teal in Flight beobachtet, die im Mai 2020 für GBP 25.062,00 (€ 27.821,58) versteigert wurde.
