In January 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and British Drawings, which included the work Rossetti'S Courtship by Max Beerbohm. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,178.92), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Max Beerbohm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Mr Churchill' in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 54,081.37).

Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rossetti'S Courtship von Max Beerbohm zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.178,92) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Beerbohm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Mr Churchill' im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 54.081,37).
