In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work The Black Cat sold for AUD 1,195.00 (€ 693.58) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lionel Arthur Lindsay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Folio Of Drawings, which sold at auction in May 2009 for AUD 2,880.00 (€ 1,629.61).
