Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Owls by Lionel Arthur Lindsay was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Sydney in August 2004. The price achieved of AUD 537.75 (€ 312.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Lionel Arthur Lindsay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Folio Of Drawings in May 2009 with an auction result of AUD 2,880.00 (€ 1,629.61).
