Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The White Fan by Lionel Arthur Lindsay was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2004. The price achieved of AUD 454.10 (€ 263.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Lionel Arthur Lindsay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Folio Of Drawings in May 2009 with an auction result of AUD 2,880.00 (€ 1,629.61).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 454,10 (€ 263,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lionel Arthur Lindsay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Folio Of Drawings im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 2.880,00 (€ 1.629,61).
