Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work British Love'S Jewelled Fetter (The Betrothal Ring) by Lawrence Alma-Tadema. The price achieved of USD 639,000.00 (€ 547,557.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lawrence Alma-Tadema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British the Finding Of Moses in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 35,922,500.00 (€ 27,556,382.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit British Love'S Jewelled Fetter (The Betrothal Ring) von Lawrence Alma-Tadema zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 639.000,00 (€ 547.557,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lawrence Alma-Tadema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British the Finding Of Moses im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.922.500,00 (€ 27.556.382,33).
