Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work A Picture Gallery by Lawrence Alma-Tadema. The price achieved of USD 495,000.00 (€ 416,036.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lawrence Alma-Tadema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British the Finding Of Moses in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 35,922,500.00 (€ 27,556,382.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Picture Gallery von Lawrence Alma-Tadema zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 495.000,00 (€ 416.036,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lawrence Alma-Tadema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British the Finding Of Moses im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.922.500,00 (€ 27.556.382,33).
