Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kyffin Williams achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Anglesey Coast sold for GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,428.63) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Kyffin Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bryn Y'R Hên Bobl in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 57,600.00 (€ 84,621.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kyffin Williams erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Anglesey Coast für GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.428,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kyffin Williams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bryn Y'R Hên Bobl im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 57.600,00 (€ 84.621,68).
