A top price for Frederick Banting
In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work St. Simeon Inn by Frederick Banting. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 45,000.00 (€ 33,622.28), 50% above the upper estimate. This high result makes St. Simeon Inn the most expensive artwork by Frederick Banting that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit St. Simeon Inn von Frederick Banting zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 45.000,00 (€ 33.622,28) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht St. Simeon Inn zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Frederick Banting, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
