Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Near Temagami by Frederick Banting was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. The price achieved of CAD 10,200.00 (€ 7,323.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Banting have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St. Simeon Inn in November 2010 with an auction result of CAD 45,000.00 (€ 33,622.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Near Temagami von Frederick Banting kam im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 10.200,00 (€ 7.323,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 9.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Banting auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St. Simeon Inn im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 45.000,00 (€ 33.622,28).
