Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Mrs Austin Mackenzie by Francis Bernard Dicksee was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 148,527.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francis Bernard Dicksee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British Yseult in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,155,000.00 (€ 1,015,027.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs Austin Mackenzie von Francis Bernard Dicksee wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 148.527,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francis Bernard Dicksee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British Yseult im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.155.000,00 (€ 1.015.027,68).
