Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Portrait of Camille, daughter of Sutton Palmer by Francis Bernard Dicksee. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,306.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Bernard Dicksee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Yseult in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,155,000.00 (€ 1,015,027.68).
