Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2000 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Waiting for the return home by Ernest Albert Waterlow. The price achieved of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,474.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Albert Waterlow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In His Hand are the Deep Places of the Earth' (Psalm XCV) in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 31,689.77).

Im September 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waiting for the return home von Ernest Albert Waterlow zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.474,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Albert Waterlow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In His Hand are the Deep Places of the Earth' (Psalm XCV) im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 31.689,77).
