Auction result well in line with expectations
The work What a Treat for a Nickel by Eduardo Paolozzi was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,408.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eduardo Paolozzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Table Sculpture (Growth) in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 178,073.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit What a Treat for a Nickel von Eduardo Paolozzi kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.408,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduardo Paolozzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Table Sculpture (Growth) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 178.073,96).
