Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Maquettes for cubes and globes by Eduardo Paolozzi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 318.75 (€ 377.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Paolozzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Table Sculpture (Growth) in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 178,073.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maquettes for cubes and globes von Eduardo Paolozzi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 318,75 (€ 377,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eduardo Paolozzi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Table Sculpture (Growth) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 178.073,96).
