Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Peasant going for a weekend, wondering if he has forgotten anything' by David Low was sold in the BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS auction at Christies in London in July 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 235.00 (€ 307.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Low achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ‘Nuremberg’ (‘No Drums, No Trumpets, No Banners – Pah! How Much Better We Would Have Done It’) in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,771.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Peasant going for a weekend, wondering if he has forgotten anything' von David Low wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS bei Christies in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ‘Nuremberg’ (‘No Drums, No Trumpets, No Banners – Pah! How Much Better We Would Have Done It’) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.771,10).
