In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer, which included the work ‘My Chimney, I Believe!’ by David Low. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,408.14), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by David Low have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ‘Nuremberg’ (‘No Drums, No Trumpets, No Banners – Pah! How Much Better We Would Have Done It’) in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,771.10).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer durch, in der auch die Arbeit ‘My Chimney, I Believe!’ von David Low zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.408,14) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Low auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ‘Nuremberg’ (‘No Drums, No Trumpets, No Banners – Pah! How Much Better We Would Have Done It’) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.771,10).
