This artwork by Claude Barry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2015. In the Modern British and Irish Art Evening Sale, London auction, the work The Grand Fleet: Searchlight Display sold for GBP 188,500.00 (€ 265,782.63) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Claude Barry; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot London and Wartime: Nocturne sold at auction in June 2015 with the realized price of GBP 230,500.00 (€ 325,002.11).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Claude Barry erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Evening Sale, London wurde die Arbeit The Grand Fleet: Searchlight Display für GBP 188.500,00 (€ 265.782,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00.
