This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Barry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work London and Wartime: Nocturne in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 230,500.00 (€ 325,002.11).
