The work The young couple by Sipke Kool was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. The result of EUR 1,200.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sipke Kool - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pouring tea, which sold at auction in February 2008 for EUR 2,750.00.

Die Arbeit The young couple von Sipke Kool wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.200,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sipke Kool mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pouring tea beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für EUR 2.750,00 versteigert wurde.
