In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection, which included the work Home-Made Eames (Formers, Jigs And Molds) by Simon Starling. The result of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,623.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Simon Starling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Burn Time in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,005.91).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Home-Made Eames (Formers, Jigs And Molds) von Simon Starling zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.623,38) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon Starling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Burn Time im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.005,91).
