Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art, which included the work Roses, poppies and carnations in a terracotta vase, with a parrot, apples and grapes on a stone ledge, a curtain to the left by Simon Verelst. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,875.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Verelst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, irises, poppies and other flowers in a glass vase on a ledge in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 523,000.00 (€ 561,882.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses, poppies and carnations in a terracotta vase, with a parrot, apples and grapes on a stone ledge, a curtain to the left von Simon Verelst zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.875,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Verelst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, irises, poppies and other flowers in a glass vase on a ledge im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 523.000,00 (€ 561.882,25).
