Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction The Rafael Valls Sale, which included the work A Landscape With A Farmer And His Herd And Ruins On A Hill, With A Distant View Of Naples And Mount Vesuvius Beyond by Simon-Mathurin Lantara. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,875.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Simon-Mathurin Lantara have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2007 the work Herders resting in a pastoral river landscape was auctioned for USD 6,600.00 (€ 4,831.63).

Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Rafael Valls Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Landscape With A Farmer And His Herd And Ruins On A Hill, With A Distant View Of Naples And Mount Vesuvius Beyond von Simon-Mathurin Lantara zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.875,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Simon-Mathurin Lantara konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2007 die Arbeit Herders resting in a pastoral river landscape für USD 6.600,00 (€ 4.831,63) versteigert.
