A top price for Simon Luttichuys - as previously expected
In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work A Still Life With A Pewter Jug On Its Side, A Glass Of Ale, A Salt Cellar, A Bread Roll And Other Objects On A Table Draped In A Dark Green Cloth by Simon Luttichuys. The price achieved of USD 1,986,500.00 (€ 1,521,872.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,800,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Still Life With A Pewter Jug On Its Side, A Glass Of Ale, A Salt Cellar, A Bread Roll And Other Objects On A Table Draped In A Dark Green Cloth is the most expensive artwork by Simon Luttichuys that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With A Pewter Jug On Its Side, A Glass Of Ale, A Salt Cellar, A Bread Roll And Other Objects On A Table Draped In A Dark Green Cloth von Simon Luttichuys zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.986.500,00 (€ 1.521.872,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.800.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A Still Life With A Pewter Jug On Its Side, A Glass Of Ale, A Salt Cellar, A Bread Roll And Other Objects On A Table Draped In A Dark Green Cloth das teuerste Kunstwerk von Simon Luttichuys, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
