Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Christies in New York held the auction Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam, which included the work A roemer with white wine and two peaches on a silver plate, with a golden watch, grapes, a porcelain jug with a silver lid, a tall glass, a bread roll and peaches on a draped table before a curtain by Simon Luttichuys. The price achieved of EUR 20,160.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Luttichuys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Still Life With A Pewter Jug On Its Side, A Glass Of Ale, A Salt Cellar, A Bread Roll And Other Objects On A Table Draped In A Dark Green Cloth in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,986,500.00 (€ 1,521,872.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit A roemer with white wine and two peaches on a silver plate, with a golden watch, grapes, a porcelain jug with a silver lid, a tall glass, a bread roll and peaches on a draped table before a curtain von Simon Luttichuys zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 20.160,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Luttichuys erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Still Life With A Pewter Jug On Its Side, A Glass Of Ale, A Salt Cellar, A Bread Roll And Other Objects On A Table Draped In A Dark Green Cloth im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.986.500,00 (€
