Upper estimate price exceeded by 68 %.
The work Etude by Simon Hantaï was sold in the Art Contemporain Day Auction auction at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 201,600.00 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Hantaï achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work M.A.4 (Mariale) in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 4,432,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Etude von Simon Hantaï wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Auction bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 201.600,00 und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Hantaï erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit M.A.4 (Mariale) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.432.500,00.
