Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Simon Garrow could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Twentieth Century British Art auction, the work Parties II changed hands for GBP 176.25 (€ 230.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by Simon Garrow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pot Plant in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 690.00 (€ 1,147.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Simon Garrow konnte im Juli 2003 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Parties II für GBP 176,25 (€ 230,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon Garrow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pot Plant im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 690,00 (€ 1.147,50).
